Basic Angles

Basic Angles are Acute, Obtuse, Reflex, Right Angle, Straight Line and a Full Turn/ Full Rotation/ Full Circle.

Angles in the sections of a clock: 30 degrees

Angles in the sections of a compass: 45 degrees

Angles in a triangle: add up to 180 degrees

Angles in a quadrilateral : add up to 360 degrees

You will find that these angles come up in a wide variety of questions. It is important for pupils to know their angle facts inside out.
